Axsium Group Launches Workforce Management Practice for Healthcare Industry
Leading WFM Consulting Firm Debuts New Practice at HIMSS09 Conference April 4 – 8 in Chicago
CHICAGO, March 31 /PRNewswire/ — Axsium Group Inc., North America’s leading Workforce Management consulting firm, has again expanded its service offerings with the formation of a practice dedicated to the Workforce Management (WFM) needs of the healthcare industry. The new Axsium Healthcare Practice will debut at HIMSS09, the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society’s annual IT conference, being held April 4-8 at McCormick Place in Chicago.
Axsium’s Healthcare Practice will be led by Steve Levy, an industry leader with more than 15 years of extensive experience in the WFM sector. Mr. Levy previously served as national director of Professional Services at WFM solutions provider Kronos Inc. and as a co-founder of Simplified Workforce Solutions Inc., a vendor of optimized scheduling and analytics software for the healthcare, retail and restaurant industries.
“Aligning patient care, productivity and labor to achieve new operational efficiencies is a top priority for today’s healthcare executives. Axsium Group founded the healthcare practice to address the unique challenges that healthcare organizations face while trying to achieve their operational objectives, particularly in the current industry climate,” Mr. Levy said.
“Labor accounts for the largest portion of operating costs in the healthcare sector,” Mr. Levy added. “As a result, increasing productivity and operational efficiency is critical for the effective management of costs and to improve quality healthcare delivery. WFM solutions can achieve those goals.”
In conjunction with the creation of the new Healthcare Practice, Axsium has released its latest thought-leadership whitepaper on the benefits of Workforce Management enterprise solutions for the healthcare sector.
In “Workforce Management Best Practices in Healthcare,” a number of solutions are presented to improve productivity and efficiency through automated time and attendance and scheduling. With the deployment of the appropriate WFM tools to match labor with volume, healthcare organizations can minimize understaffing, reduce time-consuming schedule development, and increase employee satisfaction by enabling self-scheduling and shift swapping.
Copies of the whitepaper — “Workforce Management Best Practices in Healthcare” – will be available to all registered HIMSS conference participants at Axsium booth #3317.
“The HIMSS conference gives us an excellent opportunity to connect with customers, prospects, and industry colleagues,” said Mr. Levy. “As the leader in workforce management consulting we look forward to showcasing our expertise and sharing our practical experience with healthcare organizations. Axsium will be discussing several case studies that demonstrate how WFM can meet the careful balance between labor cost and quality care.”
