Blue Cross & American Health Insurance Offer New Small Group Insurance Plans
In the past year, the Blue Cross Small Group BeneFits portfolio has proven to be a clear fit for California small businesses wanting more affordable plans and easier eligibility.
BeneFits offers:
* Five targeted plans priced right for cost-sensitive businesses
* Employer contributions as low as 25% or $50
* Participation requirements as low as 60%
BeneFits can help small business owners offer health coverage for the first time or continue offering coverage in a time of rising costs. And BeneFits just got better!
Blue Cross has enhanced the vision benefit for new business on the Hospital BeneFits Preferred Plan from BC Life & Health Insurance Company (BCL&H). Existing businesses enrolled in this plan will automatically receive this valuable coverage on their anniversary date beginning December 1, 2005
The current vision benefit has been improved from a maximum Blue Cross payment of $100 per year to richer coverage through Blue View VisionSM from BCL&H. The Blue View Plan includes an eye exam every 12 months (for a low $25 copay) as well as lenses, frames and contact lenses every 24 months.
It also features:
A Broad, Convenient Network – Members choose from an extensive network of participating providers including ophthalmologists and optometrists as well as LensCrafters SM, Target Optical, most Sears Optical and most Pearle Vision locations.
Value-Added Savings – The Blue View Plan provides additional savings of 15-40% on non-covered materials such as extra pairs of eyewear.
Easy-to-Use Benefits – Members simply make an appointment with a Blue View Vision eye care provider, present their I.D. card, and pay the copayment and any balance to the provider at the time of service. The provider takes care of all the paperwork.
American Health Insurance has partnered with Blue Cross to offer a no cost quote for groups of 2-50 employees. Specialized agents can be reached at 800-280-4110.
