SCAN Health Plan Simplifies Medicare Part D With Script IQ’s FormularyDynamIQs

SCAN Health Plan and Script IQ, Inc. today announced SCAN would utilize Script IQ’s FormularyDynamIQs(TM) formulary management application for their 2007 Medicare Part D submissions. The move is intended to automate the manual and time-consuming requirements of Part D submission and to effectively communicate details of SCAN’s Medicare programs to providers and members.

“The Medicare Part D submission requirements emphasize the changing nature of formulary management,” said Rita Edwards, VP, Pharmacy Services at SCAN Health Plan. “Script IQ’s automation will help us simplify submissions and improve a critical series of business processes, which ultimately will greatly benefit our members.”

“We are excited to have SCAN Health Plan as the newest addition to the Script IQ family,” said Marc Lilly, CEO of Script IQ. “SCAN’s commitment to senior healthcare, and the Medicare Part D program, makes for an ideal partnership. Our solutions will enable SCAN to reduce operating costs, connect with other healthcare constituents such as e-Prescribing vendors, and improve customer service. By reducing the complexity of Medicare Part D, and providing a platform that can be leveraged to communicate drug benefits, everybody wins.”
