The Scooter Store Wins Award from Runzheimer International
Runzheimer International recognized The SCOOTER Store and awarded them an Employee Mobility Best Practices Award for an outstanding program for managing business vehicles. These best practices in vehicle management have helped make the SCOOTER Store, the nation’s largest supplier of power wheelchairs and scooters one of the top-rated employers in the country.
Runzheimer, which made the announcement at its Annual Total Employee Mobility Benchmarking Forum in Chicago last week, evaluated more than 85 organizations as potential candidates for awards for their deployment and management of domestic relocation, international assignments, business vehicles, business travel, virtual office, and corporate aircraft programs. The SCOOTER Store was one of five companies to receive Best Practice Awards.
“It is an honor for The SCOOTER Store to be recognized by a premier organization like Runzheimer International,” said Chet Lange, Director of Corporate Operations for The SCOOTER Store. “I gained a wealth of knowledge from the conference and I am inspired to drive our organization towards using several of the best practices that were shared by other participants during the course of the day.”
The awards recognize organizations for performance in managing and administering a specific area of employee mobility. The SCOOTER Store was cited for exhibiting effective approaches in vehicle management. In order to be acknowledged, companies must participate in Runzheimer’s Total Employee Benchmarking Process and must have a proven track record for program results that include enhanced talent management capabilities, improving cost management and productivity, increasing organizational agility, and strengthening employee and customer relationships. Integration of programs, processes and approaches involving different areas of employee mobility, such as business vehicles and travel, or domestic relocation and international assignments, is another qualifying characteristic of Best Practices Award recipients.
“Congratulations to The SCOOTER Store and the other companies that won Best Practices Awards,” said Greg Harper, President of Runzheimer International. “Their employee mobility management approaches serve as outstanding examples of how organizations can reduce costs, improve employee and customer relationships, and achieve greater agility by improving their employee mobility and vehicle management.”
